Artist - Janet Murie

In the late 1970's I took classes off and on at the local arts council pottery studio. As my skills improved and my work got better I started selling at local art fairs. I was fortunate to be asked to join Yellow Springs Pottery in the early 1980's.

My interest has always been in form and function and that is reflected in my work which is mostly kitchen ware for daily use. I also love making vases and other more decorative pieces.

I work in a small studio at home and glaze fire in my reduction kiln to cone 10 and 11 (2359 F).
